The problem with that theory, if you take LOA to be cannon then you run into the issue of why Crane's mom refers to him as Crane instead of what ever name she gave him. I've always thought about writing this idea myself, but here, you can give it a go if you'd like.

Things escalate and end up having a real, nasty fight where they actually hurt one another.

But really though, it's more of a debate about Tigress' character. She's not necessarily pretending to be a hard, cold killing machine. Sure, she has emotions and the thought of caring about others is relatively new experience for her but she might not actually be a gentle loving person at heart. Its really process of elimination, Viper and Monkey don't so much as look at eachother, so its ruled out. The next logical choice would be Mantis, but biology makes this one weird, not to mention that Viper seems to be more annoyed with the bug then attracted too. Crane makes the most sense when you take all things into consideration, they're both level headed and not really used for jokes like Mantis and Monkey are. Pairing them up would only do good for their characters.

I have never been on the fence so bad with a show before. I've caught up with all three seasons of LoA, just when I'm about to drop this shit after having seen 3 consecutively mediocre episodes there's a great one that pops up and recaptures the humor from the movies perfectly - or perhaps even better. It's as if they rotate writers on and off from the team constantly. I'm so torn between this series.

I loved a lot of the supporting cast, except for that Qilin faggot and the Christopher Walken knock-off.

Po is just not a character that needs to be centered on; he works a lot better playing off the dynamics of the other characters. As such, some of the episodes only have him spotlighted entirely while having him do "whacky" things that the movie like breaking things by accident, and it just doesn't work here.

Tigress is too stiff and rigid in this show, and it's even more surprising considering it takes place after the second movie where she opens up a little to Po. That episode where she ends up chained to him was painful to sit through, especially after she turns her bitch dial back up to 11 after that endearing campfire scene.

Another thing that bothers me is how insufferable Po is to watch sometimes. All that character development and training from the first two movies - even mastering Zen - and he still acts like a meandering buffoon capable of getting his ass kicked by low-level criminals. In fact most of the conflict that occurs in every ep is from him breaking something or pissing off someone. He basically has Parker Syndrome.

Well continuing onward from the second movie, the 3rd will have Po finally meeting his dad/parents, and we get more details about the events leading up to the panda holocaust and proceeding it. I'll bet my anal virginity that there's a scene where PanDad mistakens Tigress for Po's gf, in which in turn elicits a lot of teasing banter among the group (Monkey and Mantis probably crack a few jokes), as Tigress gets embarrassed. Po will also probably find a girl panda there at the village, and whacky love triangle hi-jinks ensue.

This would be a fucking gold mine for the producers; children and spergs alike would shell out tons of shekels for this subplot.

Well, Po did like Tigress because she was the strongest of the five. He probably admired her because she did everything he wanted to do like dedicate himself to Kung Fu or be a disciplined and respected Master.

Believe it or not Po apparently didn't really have a close relationship with Tigress until midway through the second movie when she showed she didn't want him to die and sympathized with his problem. She was likely drawn to Po when she learned that he was an orphan like she was. She pretty much initiated the whole relationship.

Maybe its just me but I don't see what Tigress could get from Po that she couldn't have gotten romantically from the other Furious Five members. If she wants a strong warrior then boom all of them are. Monkey could likely sympathies with the feeling of being alone, so why didn't she ever confide into him? Crane was aways an outcast of sorts and never really fit in and Viper knows what its like to have a distant parent.

The more I think about it, the more I think Tigress is just a fucking bitch and that there's no reason for her to act the way she does prior to meeting Po.

Might be me, but I think Tigress can connect with Po on a level different from the other four. They all had troubles in their lives like overbearing parents, but I believe Tigress sympathizes with Po being an orphan and his determination of trying to impress Shifu and the Five. It's because of those qualities that she is starting to develop an interest in him.

Of the episodes most people seem to like it's probably written by either Gene Grillo or Doug Langdale. Of the directors Aaron Hammersly seems to pick the good ones.

Probably not. There is definitely a difference in quality, and it angers me because when they do get the humor and characters right, it's really funny - almost like what you would see from the older seasons of Futurama.

There are probably a few more episodes I missed on my list you quoted, but the shitty writing usually hits you near the beginning of a sour episode, and you can easily skip it without too much time lost.
