- A side note, they're not commonly called Flash games because Apple would never pay another company to license their programming language support, so they made a cheap rip-off programming language. No one knows what it is called (or how to get it to work properly, for that matter), so most of the time the consumer base names them by whatever they are holding in their hand, more than likely an ios device.

When all was said and done, classic gems like Lyle in Cube Sector were never found and "indie" gaming sites like Newgrounds, Armorgames, Kongregrate or even Miniclip were long forgotten in favor of spending $5.00 for a half-made game (this is even penetrating the gaming giants). In Cave Story 3D, there is a loading screen between each one every couple seconds, and it pauses the music each time.

On top of that the end credits doesn't even have animations, the scenes are pans of still dioramas.

Here's the summary of everything I've discovered so far.

So far, sprites for the characters and environments have been added in an update. Unlike the Christmas mode, the face sets appear to be unchanged.

Changing your clock to October 26 (tomorrow) initiates the Halloween mode.

Despite the new files being downloaded, currently only Quote's sprite changes, like what always happened when you set your date near Halloween, and it was also the extent of the Halloween mode in the Wii version.

To me, it's looking like this is actually a broken update (no surprise, being Nicalis and all). Setting it to the 26th should activate all Halloween features, just like setting the date near Christmas activates all Christmas features. But it does not.

So unless the game somehow knows it's actually October 26 and only activates all the features on the real date, this will need yet another update to actually work.

Hopefully it will include face sets too.
